End User Resources

These resources are targeted towards end users, with the goal of providing information to help them use computers and networks more safely.

• The Microsoft Security Essentials site provides information on how to improve the security of a computer running one of the various Windows Operating Systems.

• The CERT Coordination Center at Carnegie Mellon University provides a home network security overview in a question and answer format.

• The Symantec (Norton) Anti-Virus program is available to UAF affiliates at no-cost from the UA OIT Download Site.
