Academic Resources
The various UAF libraries maintain a collection of
more than 2 million volumes, making
it the largest library in Alaska. As part of this collection,
there is a large collection of resources, such
as journals and texts, related to the
information assurance and computer security field.
Journals -
The UAF libraries have extensive journal archives, which
can be accessed by subject,
title,
or custom
search.
Some of the subjects most relevant to ASSERT are
Mathematics
and Computer Science,
Electrical
Engineering, and Law.

Texts -
ASSERT and the UAF libraries have many texts related to computer
security and information assurance. The ASSERT Center collection
is housed in Chapman 206, while the Rasmuson Library holds
a larger collection, which can be
searched
online. In addition, there are many texts relevant to ASSERT work
available through Safari
Tech Books Online.

Online Databases - There are
many online databases containing material relevant to
ASSERT work which can be accessed by subject
through the UAF library system.
Some of the subjects most relevant to ASSERT are
Computer
Science (including the ACM
Digital Library and IEEE
Explore), Mathematics,
Engineering,
and Law.

External Archives -
There are many external archives of information related
to ASSERT, including the
NIST
History of Computer Security Archive, and the government
document archive at the National
Information Assurance Training and Education Center (NIATEC). NIATEC also hosts
an Information
Assurance Dictionary.
